Solid three star diner, which unless you're some kind of retro gourmet novelty diner is about the best you can get! Totally convenient with its 24/7 service. I forsee more than a few nights here in the future as we tend to host very late night conversations with guests. Not a whole lot for vegetarians to order without modifying the plates, but that's not unusual. I got the potato pancakes which were delicious but heavy (oily) and came with sour cream and green onion. My date seemed satisfied with his French toast and cleaned his plate. We shared a Marion berry pie shake which was tasty but I'd avoid it if you're weird about textures. They blend it with crust and all so it's a little bit chunky. Staff was super friendly and attentive! Coffee was the best part and came with two bowls of half and half and creamer!

my review is based on a pie. I haven't tried the food yet. They picked out a Caramel Cream Crunch pie. It is extremely sweet. The flavor is really good but for me only a couple small bites. If you love caramel and sugar cream this is your pie. The little candy crunch are my favorite part. Tastes like some popular candy bars. The crust is very flaky and baked just right. I am very picky about crust, and usually take off. I actually ate this one. Hopefully I will try the peach when it's mine turn to pick. Really nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

The food was great and the portions were alright but the service was slow maybe because they were short handed. We ordered a medium rare prime rib on the orime rib fridays but it was medium well when it got to us. And one of the forks that was given to us had some kind of stuff on it. The quiche was was good but it wasnt hot when it got to us even though it took them more than half an hour to make it. I cant say that i will come back here anytime soon but maybe at some time later in the distant future But i will definitely come back for their pies though because their pies are amazing

Another lunch with Jacki at Sheri's... They are really busy today. Having my trio, 4 cheese grilled, baked potato soup and chocolate silk pie for dessert, but will take it home and that will be my dinner... Time to eat

I've been here twice and both times I didn't know what to get because there is so much to choose from. Both times, food was amazing. I tried their blackberry pie and it was so delicious!!!

Place is convenient being open 24 hours but honestly Denys is better. Service is ok, place is run down and food is hit or miss. Their pies are amazing though!

Avoid! stale bread, canned soups...dirty floors and bathroom, poor service. This place is bad, why anyone would go here is beyond me....for white trash locals

Food was "fine" but wow, it just smells old in there. Took quite a while to both be acknowledged upon arrival and then to check out and pay. I imagine that's based on the design of the entrance but it makes neither a good first or last impression.

The food is typical "coffee shop" fare. Burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast all day. Food is good and prices reasonable. The specialty is the pies. You can buy per slice or entire pie. Wonderful!

Very disappointed...usually have a great experience but got a few slices of pie tonight and my friend got very sick. Yes, we eliminated all the other options and we felt very strongly it was the pie. So we called to give them a heads up and the manager was dismissive and nonchalant. Any restaurant should take customer feedback more seriously.

Most depressing place I've ever been. Dirty. Farting burping people. Pie was disgusting and I would never even drink the water!!!!!!!!!

I've been to Shari's twice now, and honestly, I get that one can't expect too much from a 24 hour diner, but my recent experience was ridiculous to say the least, and I will not be going back. Walked in New Years day to what was clearly a day from hell for all the staff there. People were screaming in the back about needing a break while there were several of us waiting to be seated. When someone came to take our name, I asked how long the wait would be and the hostess nearly started to cry she was so overwhelmed with my question on wait time, along with being pulled in many directions. I for one, can totally relate to being overwhelmed at work, but it seemed like every person there was about to run out the door they were so frustrated. We overheard that a lot of people called in sick so everyone was scrambling to make it work. We more than took that into consideration, but still, pretty disappointed in our overall experience. We ordered two burgers and fries, and a couple of sodas. First of all, they didn't have any clean dishes so the drinks were in plastic cups. No biggie really, just sort of odd that there were no clean cups. We also didn't get silverware or napkins at all. Thankfully our food didn't really require utensils. After we placed our order, we didn't see food for an hour. The people all around us were in the same boat, but the rest of the diner seemed to be getting served their food. Our waitress came over and said her section was basically ignored but that our food was on it's way out....we heard that statement about 4 or 5 times before we got our food. When we finally did get our burgers I was completely disgusted with the plate of crap that was put in front of me. It seriously looked as though someone had stepped on the bun of my burger and then tried to piece it back together. The lettuce was rotten and wilted, the tomatoes had a slime on them and the onions looked like they had been sliced a week prior, they were so dried out. The burger was cold, fries were cold too. I had also added bacon to my burger which was nearly raw so I took it off. Gross. I ate what I could salvage and of course felt the fury in my tummy an hour or so later. I shouldn't have eaten a bite, as it was clearly in no way fresh food, but knew it would not be worth waiting for something else to come out since we waited so long for this...and after a long new years eve, I was absolutely starving so I wolfed down what I could. Our waitress apologized for our wait and everything else, and it wasn't her fault the food was awful. She offered us a free slice of pie, which we declined. Upon bringing our check up to the front to pay, the guy behind the counter asked how everything was. I was honest when I responded, "pretty awful actually", and that seemed to piss him off but I didn't care. I just wanted out of that restaurant. Bottom line is I get they were stressed and understaffed, but I'm willing to wait for food so long as it's not old, stale and rotting. The chef should not have let my plate leave the kitchen, period. We would have gotten better, fresher and tastier food if we had eaten at In-N-Out or Burger King up the street.

This place is horrible, we've been here an hour and a half and still have no food. I understand longer waits when places are busy but when people that sit down after you leave a half hour before you get your food that's no excuse. Not even an apology or some sort of excuse, don't waste your time with this place.

I wish I could add negative stars. My wife's openface turkey sandwich tasted like saline insoles; complete with a piece of foreign, mystery paper included. My banana cream pie had a dark side to it and I'm not referring to Star Wars. Out of this "Dark-side", I kept pulling black banana after black banana after black banana out of my "dessert" I stopped at five. I did not even have one bite; And I really wanted this pie, badly. Prior to eating's, even ordering anything, the bathroom should've told me to run for the door. Smelled like finely aged bum-piss, lemonade stand style. No exaggeration. I could go on, but I'm still sitting here waiting for my check. Here's my tip. .. Don't ever fucking eat here.

I wasn't ever planning on trying this place again, the last time was so bad. But we were in town and there was a long wait everywhere else. I'm so glad I went back. Adri was our server and she was so awesome. She was so sweet and helpful. Our food came out fast and was very fresh. We were checked on a few times and everything was great, I even got a piece of pie (yum.) our hostess whose name I can't recall was also kind and got our drinks to us quickly. This time - no attitude, no cold food, no wrong orders very glad I gave it another try. Thank you Adri and staff!

This is NOT the kind of place I would dine at, and never have. I am, however, giving the pies a 5 star. We order them for my husbands office parties and ALWAYS get rave reviews. Seriously yummy pies!

  • Monica V.

They only get stars for pies. All of their pies are delicious. This is the first place I've ever tried pie shakes. Some of the best ones I've tried are banana cream and the lemon berry one. The s'mores galore is yummy if you don't mind the difficulty of sucking marshmallows through a straw. The two times I've dined in I was less than impressed with my food. The waitress suggested the chicken and dumplings which was really sweet for my taste. The second time I came in I ordered potato pancakes. You'd think that for the price of an entree I would get more than pan fried mashed potatoes and a little cup of apple sauce. If anything, come for the dessert and get it to go. Also, sign up for their email and get a free slice of pie.

The service is slow the but the servers are really kind. The first time I went, it was during the lunch hour and I was surprised that there weren't many people but once I realized that the service was slow, it all made sense. I have enjoyed everything that I've ordered. The pies and pie shakes are awesome!

No one seated us, we stood at the front a few minutes before we decided to seat ourselves. It took a while to get menus and service, but when we did get it , it was good. We enjoyed our food and got a slice of pie to take home, which was also yummy. This will be a good little late night spot for us =]

3 1/2 Stars Shari's Restaurant comes into locations previously held by Baker's Square Restaurants, and before that Sambo's Restaurants if anyone remembers that far back. The Shari's in Rohnert Park has been around for about five years I'd guess, but I really had not been interested in trying it again until just recently. I frequented Baker's Square many years ago with my first fiancee and found the food and service good and I was satisfied. But after that relationship ended I wanted to find more upscale places to breakfast. I tried Shari's again a couple years ago when I was fighting with my wife, because Shari's was the only 24 hour place around and I would go hide there late at night when I was so upset. The menu then was not that much different then Baker's Square had. Lately I have been on my "nostalgia tour" and checked out Shari's again. I was pleasantly surprised to see such an improvement in the menu! Many more items, "healthy" items, upscale dinners, a lot of interesting variety! I've gone three times in the last couple weeks and I am very happy with the food and service! The restaurant itself is what is in badly need of a remodel. It is clean and nice enough, it just feels not up to par with the very good menu and general direction the company seems headed. If not for that, I would gladly give Shari's in Rohnert Park 4 stars. For now, they receive 3 1/2 stars. Oh yes... and they still make pies there! Enjoy a slice! Review 0052

Went over on my way back to the Bay Area and was really hungry so, we stopped over not seeing anything else around. Ordered burgers and it was ok. Nothing great and service was slow to order. Had we waited another block we could have dropped into Olive Garden. At least there the price justifies the food and I can't say that about Shari's.

This is my boyfriend and mine's go-to place for a quick meal. We love that they are open 24/7 and they have good food at a decent price. As far as diner's go, this place is pretty average...but the customer service here is always outstanding! We have always been helped by an attentive and upbeat server. Our favorite pies are the Oregon Marionberry and the Strawberry Rhubarb :)

They have the slowest service. The staff is nice but they all seem like they are constantly in a rush or under pressure.

This place is just... sad. I went here with my cousins and had some people tell us that their food is amazing. LIES!!!! We waited exactly an hour for our food which were simple and easy to prepare. My breakfast sampler wasn't too bad. I've had much better at Denny's or any mom and pop shops around there. But the sirloin. .. what.. the.. eff. How can you charge someone like $16 for a piece of steak that was smaller than my index finger and middle finger combined. It looked like a strip of beef jerky. Oh an apparently if they make you wait past 12 midnight for your food even when you got there at 11 on a Wednesday, no free pie for you. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I'm not sure why people have only put 1, 2, or 3 stars... Because personally from the beginning I've always had great service here... I'm a DJ and I like to go to a diner after a night in the club. I used to go to Deny's or even Carrows in Santa Rosa... But service went down the drain over on those places... Shari's on the other hand have always been great to me and my friends... We come in as a group almost every time I DJ in the wee hours of the morning... We have always been treated right here and for every time we came back... We have always felt welcome... The only reason why I'm only giving this place 4 out of 5 stars is 5 stars being that it has absolutely no flaws... But every establishment does... So to get a 5 star rating from me, you have to WOW me... I highly recommend this place over other 24 hour diners around the area... Great staff and great service... At least from personal experience everytime me and my group of friends come in...

Our first experiences with Shari's was in Oregon, back when the RP Shari's was still a Baker's Square. Back then, 2009? Shari's was awesome and we couldn't wait for the one here in RP to open. It was great! The breakfast was always served peomptly, the bold coffee was awesome, the service was great too! Just like in Oregon. Alas, over these 5 or so years, Shari's in RP has been on a steady down hill spiral. Our last few visits have been disappointing, First they eliminated the Bold coffee, service has really suffered and out breakfast this morning was delivered after a 45 minute wait, our meals were pretty much just over room temperature and the over quality of our meals have reached that point where I'm afraid we may just never return. Seriously, I don't know what could have happened there.. Is it crappy management? incompetent staff? untrained cooks? The hiring pool? In any case, Good Bye Shari's. It was great when you were something new, fresh and had good food and service but that was then and this is now, so now we're going to scratch your pathetic restaurant off of our local places to go. Sadly, you have reached that level where Denny's and Adel's are viable options.

This is always the second option to go after IHOP in Rohnert Park, and after finding out IHOP closed, we decided to go to Shari's. We'd been there one time before, and while the food was good, it took a long LONG time before our food was served. It looked slightly less crowded so we gave it another shot. The waitress was so sweet and helpful, but again, it took close to 45 minutes in a 1/4 packed restaurant to get our two omelettes. We ended up having to scarf down our meal in about 5 minutes because we had an appointment to make afterwards. So while the people are nice, and the food is good enough, don't plan on going here unless you have an hour and a half plus for your meal

I've adventured in many times, mostly after a night of hefty beverages (given only 24hr place in RP), always a great choice. Gets the craving satisfied. Always great service! The manager is amazing, don't know her name but gorgeous red curly locks...and Jen is fantastic. I look forward to seeing those two whenever I make it in right after 2am :) The food is always up to par for a diner, good, hits the spot, no food baby coma. Right price. That's the reason for the four star. Now to dust off the glitter. I wish they were there tonight, because our waitress definitely killed our experience tonight, she was rude and I don't think she genuinely liked people. I won't say her name but I will start calling in before I go, to see who is working the night shift.

Worst customer service. The wait was long to order and receive our food, there was lipstick on our mugs, hair visible on my food THE SECOND I GOT IT, and there was milk and dried sticky syrup all over my mother's menu. Shari's used to be the place my mom and I came for breakfast whenever I came to visit her. After this last visit, we are finding a new place because eventually, the health department will probably end up closing them down anyways. Don't waste your money. They paid for my breakfast, but in all honesty I still left disappointed. (The hot sauces also had no lids allowing Lord knows what to fall in and have customers ingest, gunky sauce remnants on them, and were just all around gross.)

Our motel was across the street so I checked out their website. Their cinnamon sensation platter peeked my husband and I interest. We decided to eat breakfast there before we hit the road home. Once we walked in we were greeted and seated. We both ordered the cinnamon roll platter. I had scrambled eggs and sausage my husband had over easy eggs and applewood smoked bacon. It also came with hash brown. My husband said his bacon was cold, hash brown was bland and eggs were okay. My sausage, eggs and hash brown were fine. I ate the entire thing guess I was hungry! We both agreed that the cinnamon rolls were delicious! It was a different way having it deep fried. Our waitress was friendly and that we taken care of.

Absolutely disgusting food! No wonder the place is empty, don't even know how their still open for business.

Yikes, overpriced mediocre food. My mother in law wanted to go twice since we were in a hotel across the street and so I was stuck My $13 steak had more gristle than meat. A friend's top sirloin was about 2.5" in diameter and thin. The salad was small. The mashed potatoes were cold. No vegetable with the steaks. The breakfast I had in a second visit was small portioned too. The bacon however, was thick and flavorful. The chocolate silk pie slice was also tiny. Don't bother. The waitresses were friendly and efficient so kudos to them.

I have been going here since it first became Shari's. I had just decided that the service was going to be horrible, but as long as the food was good I would deal with the service. Well no more. The food has gotten worse and so has the service. My Mom and I went in there for breakfast on a Saturday morning around 10:30. There was a family of four already sitting waiting for their order to be taken, then we sat down, We waited about 10 minutes and then they seated a couple, they took the couples order within 3 minutes, the hostess had not even brought the drinks for them yet. Then they finally got around to taking our order, then they took the family of fours order. By then they had seated 3 more table near us. The couple got their food first, then the family of four got their food, then another couple that came in about 20 minutes after us got their food. Well I cannot tell you what happened after that because we left. Well we had a buy one get one free breakfast so my Mom went in the next morning to get our breakfast to go because I already decided I am done with this place, and the manager on duty ,which was the same manager the day before saw my Mom and said " oh you here to try again" with a smirk on her face. No apology for the horrible service from the day before. I have heard this same manager say " They will always beat us with service when talking about Black Bear Diner. I think She is lazy and does not care about her job or the company she is working for. There are places that have gone out of business because service is bad. Maybe they should read the reviews and get a clue.

Warning! gift cards. You hae to register it to use it first. A long form that takes time. First time I had to register a gift card. Told all gifters to not give me one again. After I filled out the form it refused to validate as it said my location was a "invalid location code" ? I hate the two flavor bread on some of the sandwiches. What happen to plain white bread?

I felt like a shake, so I ordered an Oregon Marion berry Pie Shake at Shari's restaurant in Rohnert Park. It was delicious, but very, very sweet. There were chunks of graham cracker crust. Thus, the need for a fat straw. We didn't have to wait an hour for our food to arrive. The waitress was very friendly. We all enjoyed our meal. Just wished that since there was a sign out front welcoming SSU students and their parents, that they would give SSU students a discount.

Okay, wouldn't be my first and probably barely be my last choice. Their story talks about being family business, seems like they've lost some of their controls and I have to wonder if the food I was served would it be food that they'd serve to family the place had a strange odor that overwhelmed the smell of what should be the smell of breakfast. Coffee was old sent back waitress said it was 10 mins old wrong still old coffee. Luckily only passing through but I will not visit another Shari's.

We came for a reliable quick and easy breakfast. While they were not busy the waiting area was packed. We left. I don't usually do this at places I frequent but Shari's is becoming a disappointment with slow service and long waits whether they are busy or not. Also, clean your carpets! Still love the pie and will be back.

Today 's lunch would have gotten a 5th star but for lukewarm coffee. Even a replacement was pretty tepid. Server/service was excellent. My wife had a turkey burger and I had aj American Chopped salad (Chef's salad anywhere else). Both were excellent. We look forward to eating here again, especially if they learn to heat the coffee.

I have visited this location a few times with my boo. The service here is spectacular. I wasn't sure if I had heard of this place before, but I wasnt quite sure if it was going to be a mirror of Dennys/Bakers square, but it far surpasses those establishments. Their breakfast options is my fav. Everything tastes so fresh. I was naughty and tried a pie milkshake :( then another time I was naughty and tried a cinnamon roll. Their pimped out hashbrowns are sooo good .. One thing that stands out to me is the service. Everyone is so sweet. They must be treated very well there because the girls there are always offering class A service. This is def a reason I would return here !!

I live no where near Sheri's but find myself in the area once a year. Pie shakes alone are worth 5 stars. Only losing a star because our waitress was a bit clumsy and dropped plates, however she was very nice, probably new to waitressing. All the breakfast items I've had here have been delicious. I always seem to stop in during boysenberry season, yum!

I don't like pies. So this review ain't for the pies. but the chicken fried steak covered with gravy with the loaded mashed potatoes and baked potatoe is easily the best chicken fried steak i have ever eaten. service is good. menu has sooo many choices, its un believable. the prices are very budget friendly (little pricier than denny's), but food is way better.

I found our meal here just average. Although our waitress was attentive, she was not very friendly. On the late morning we arrived, it was very busy so I appreciated that she didn't forget about us. One star for the service, one for the food. They are open 24/7... which is what the last star is for.

Went here at 5AM for breakfast. Food was OK.. reminded us way too much of the previous business... Baker's Square. They're open for 24 hours so I guess that's a plus (especially since the only other thing open 24 hours is JITB). They're stuffed hashbrowns were actually good and they didn't smother it in sour cream thankfully. Probably would only come here beetween 12 and 7AM. Redwood Cafe owns this place on breakfast and service. Did I mention they're expensive?

Chicago guy on the hunt for a decent slice of cheesecake. First off, in Chicago the big cheesecake is Eli's, decadent and rich, great stuff. It's only rival is Cheesecake factory but y'all are a year or so away from one of those opening in these parts of Sonoma county. San Rafael has a Cheesecake factory, FYI and that is the nearest location to here. One slice of cheesecake cost me roughly $5 with tax. In comparison to the Bakers Square that used to reside here, the slice is much smaller. Also, it tastes like mix out of a box and chemicals are used in its process. There was an overwhelming mechanical taste to it, the cheese was grainy. Blech! I should add that the crust on the back fell off and in all, it tasted so bad I chucked it after two bites. I contemplated returning the next day for my money back but the server failed to give me a receipt. Aside from the other, I had a slice of Montana cherry pie and that was good as store bought cherry pie available at any typical GMO, chain, grocery store. The cherry pie was roughly less than three dollars. The cut of pie I got was a wreck when it was boxed but, I mean, it's pie and I get that this happens sometimes. However, how appetizing does it look when the pie is looking more like a totaled car than pie. I wonder if they would serve it to someone on a plate (?) I highly doubt that. I hope. Eight dollars total for the two slices of pie. I'll note that they do offer some full pies for as low as $9. or $10.99 Another side note. Walked in to find two customers ahead of me. Three more groups behind me all waited patiently for about ten minutes. Everyone stood in the entryway wondering why there wasn't any greeter at the counter. Two couples waited to pay their bills after dining. Meanwhile we saw waitresses coming and going between the dining area and the kitchen. Eventually a gal came over and expressed graciousness for politely waiting. Too many bad signs. How could they ruin cheesecake!?

great service, food was ok but a bit expensive for your typical 24hr diner. Average $10 give or take for breakfast. Clean restaurant but because we just had a rain there was buckets placed throughout the restaurant to catch the rain coming in thru the leaky roof. Made me kinda wonder what else is going on if the roof was leaking so much that I had to walk around the buckets just to get seated at a table. If your looking for a piece of pie at 3am after going to the casino though its still worth it :)

Went there once late at night after a movie just for pie. Waiting to be seated and to pay was slow.I had the marrionberry pie alamode , asked for it warmed up with a glass of milk and it was EXCELLENT. One of the best pies I've ever had, but was pricey. Waitress was very friendly. Would come again.

The food is okay if you have about 2 hours to eat dinner. You have to wait for everything at this place. I once waited for 6 minutes in their lobby before anyone even acknowledged me! Service is generally slow and the quality of food has gone downhill. Also, they have some "interesting" clientele. Don't expect a relaxing or quick meal at this place.

I was a regular for about two years. My license was under suspension and i lived only a few blocks away and it was the only place open late in RP so i went here and got to know several of the employees well. Jason and I are still personal friends to this day even though i live near Vacaville and go there only about once a week or so. Two years later Jason still remembers my regular orders, and i've tried close to 90 percent of their pies, most are very good. A perfect evening is a movie at the RP 16 Cinemas and then a late dinner or pie and coffee at Shari's. People of all ages go there, from SSU students to families to retired folk, even single artists such as myself. The food is much better than Denny's and not quite gourmet fare, but always perfect for a quiet, casual meal.

Trip #1: find insect crawling around my plate trying to escape the pool of grease under my fries. One extra star to the manager for comping the meal. trip #2: obnoxious toddler climbs over my seat while I try to quietly eat in impressive chicken entree and study for an exam. Parents and wait staff laugh while this repeatedly happens. I leave annoyed.

The food here is okay. Not great, but okay. The nice thing is that it's open 24/7. The only place to go when you want coffee and/or breakfast late at night. The servers are all exceptional. They're all very, very nice. My favorite is David Al-Nasr. He makes me laugh - even at 2 am! Try Shari's if you want a great breakfast any time - day or night.

oh Sharis... I'm only giving you a 2 star and not a one because the pies were good, but the service is still one of the worst I have ever seen. Our waitress spilled water on my lap, dropped our glasses, messed up our pie order, and didn't know any info about the place that wasn't on the menu. After all that we also didn't get any discount or coupon, ANYTHING! No thank you.

Their CARMEL CRUNCH PECAN PIE is AMAZING!! I'm addicted and it's a problem worth going to meeting for! Try it but beware you won't want any of their other pies ever again. Their staff is great, very attentive and nice. I haven't had a bad experience yet and I come here all the time.

We've been ignoring this place since it opened, but this week my mom and I stopped in for breakfast...wow! We were blown away. Mom had a breakfast started that was less than 5 bucks...one egg, sausage, bacon, hashbrowns, toast (really yummy cranberry wheat)...so good! I had the healthy breakfast...super delish as well! We loved it so much we went back again today! Seriously, best hashbrowns we've had in years! Will be back!

Far too expensive for what you get, poor customer service, and incorrect orders- I definitely would not recommend. I came here for the first (and last) time today with a friend. To start, the restaurant was relatively empty but for some reason they put no distance between us and a table with a family of 4. At least one booth between would have been nice considering the emptiness and the fact that the children at the booth behind us were quite rowdy. We ordered just one meal and a milk shake (which was poorly blended) and the bill was over $20 ($4.30 gets you just 3 pieces of bacon). If the food and service were better I would not complain. When we were through I wanted a to-go cup for my milk shake but no waiter showed up so I got up and searched for one. When I got back to the table I witnessed the moment that assured I would not be back- the family behind us were in the middle of explaining that their son's burger was partially raw (they asked for medium-well) and the father had bitten down on something hard and plastic in his turkey burger. We left in a hurry after that and we won't be back!

I went here on a whim with my family. My husband was craving apple pie. They all loved the pie but I was not impressed, probably because, first of all I don't really care for pie and secondly, I prefer organic home cooked goodies, not ones containing high fructose corn syrup and a bunch of "other" crap. Service was good and the people were nice.

Love it. Thats all I can say...... Love it and the service. No complaints here. Looking forward to returning.

Shari's used to be Baker's Square, and it should have stayed that way. The pies are still as good as ever but the food has made a slow slide downhill. The strawberry rhubarb and Smores pies are the best, so go on Free Pie Wednesdays, which used to be all day but is now only 3 hours in the evening. For the most part the waitstaff is good and nice but every once in a while you get one guy and one girl who you can tell have had a bad day and are determined to have as small a tip as possible. The pie is the only part still worth going to Shari's for, but it's worth it.

Service was friendly and helpful but the food was horrible. Matter of fact we all said that nothing really looked good to eat. Husband tried the Cuban sandwich, doesn't look like the pic nor taste good at all. I had an omelette not pleasing at all.

This place is okay. The pies are usually pretty good. If you want a really quite restaurant in Rohnert Park, this is probably your best bet. It's kind of a older person place. I'm never blown away by the food. The prices are really high for the quality of food. I've only gone for lunch and dinner, so I can't tell you how breakfast is.

Decent service, everyone was friendly enough... Food tasted fine, nothing extraordinary. Wait time seemed a bit long considering the place was less than 10% full on a Friday morning for breakfast. The BIG complaint I had related to the portions. My teenage son ordered biscuits and gravy and it was SKIMPY! Worse yet was the size of my "stuffed" hash browns. It cost $2.00 extra to "upgrade" to this side and I kid you NOT, I could have fit the entire order of hash browns into a box for a deck of cards. It really left me feeling disappointed and a bit ripped off. I have only been to a Shari's twice before (not this location), and did not leave the table disappointed at all. If you decide to upgrade to the stuffed hash browns, inquire about the portion size before you finalize your order.

Good diner seems to be busy most of time. The food is fresh and good. Well known for their pastries.

Staff was friendly place kept clean except for the bathrooms.Good place to hang out at after going out partying or still being hungry late at night. I had the carrot cake and coconut cream pie that was awesome. Service was good my waiter kept our cups full of coffee and water. This place is open 24/7 so good for the college students or adults who want a later night meal with out going to Denny's. Good spot!

Came here with some teacher friends after a long day at the Mrs. Grossman's sticker factory sale. Was looking for some diner food and local friend suggested Shari's. Had the Garlic-Mushroom Burger, which was super yummy! Juicy and full of flavor. Fries were potato-y and well seasoned too. Finally, we had PIE. I had a slice of the Fresh Strawberry Cream Cheese pie. It's similar to a cheesecake, but MUCH lighter. My friend had the Lemon Cream Cheese pie which was also super delish. Granted overall a little pricier than anticipated, but we left fully satisfied.

BEWARE! I ate here one evening craving breakfast for dinner and got probably the worst case of food poisoning imaginable. It was Wednesday Free Pie night, I'm pretty sure the pie did the poisoning, but the food wasn't good anyway. I won't go into details but I was up sick all night, and had to miss work the next day. Don't spend your money to get sick!!!

This place is very hit and miss. The coffee is phenomenal, the pies are very good, and the food is your regular chain diner type of food. The waitstaff and managers behind the registers always leave a little something to be desired, though. Try the strawberry rhubarb pie and you won't be disappointed!

Shari's replaced Baker's Square about a year ago, and I've only been there twice since, (I went to Baker's Square twice a week). The first time I was there we learned they switched from Coca Cola to Pepsi which was awful, but beyond the drinks the food wasn't cooked! I got the baked potato soup and it was watery, the potatoes were literally frozen, and the bacon was just soggy. The waitress didn't even charge us for the soup we looked so gross out. We decided to give it another try, just in case it was a fluke, but again, we were disappointed. the food again wasn't cooked fully and the soup was still watery. The service is great regardless, it's the same staff from the old Baker's Square, but I just won't eat there because of uncooked food. Pies are still yummy though.

The service was a little slow. The food should have been hotter when it arrived at the table. It these little things that have a big influence when I go out to eat.

This is a great diner. It's clean. The waitresses were the sweetest, kindest & most attentive that I've seen in Sonoma County, and we have fantastic servers out here. This team was the best. The bathrooms are clean!! Their Loaded Baked Potato Soup was fantastic tasting. I also had a salad with it, very good, not artisan but very good. The soup was wonderful. Their air conditioning is perfect. Loved their Pepsi. I forgot my sunglasses and the waitress offered to get me some Pepsi to go (this was after I had paid!), I politely declined. Now for the RUMOR!! Rumor is that they might be in negotiations for the Marie Callender's on Mendo in SR! That would be great and a perfect fit. We all know that MC was very popular but needed a bit of a makeover. Right? 5 stars for what it is, a diner that you can safely rely on for excellent pies, good food and fantastic service! I had been afraid to go here, I'm not big on chains....but worth it to go! Oh and I checked out their breakfast menu (served all day btw), there's some tasty looking cinnamon pancakes that are on the menu. Yum.

My daughter & I ate here about 2 months ago. It was rainy that day, very warm & humid. We walk inside & it too was very warm and muggy in the restaurant. We mentioned this to the manager as we were seated. He didn't seem to care & never kicked the AC on. We weren't the only ones that were uncomfortable, we saw other patrons fanning themselves as well. The food was greasy & very processed. If I could give negative stars, I would. One star for the servers...they were nice & efficient. I feel bad for them having to run around waiting tables in that sauna. They must lose 10 lbs. per shift! I will not be back.

I always order the chicken alfredo because it's so yummy... but on the downside, the bread that it comes with isn't too tasty... but for 10 bucks, it's pretty filling. I'd go here if I'm really hungry in the middle of the night. Not somewhere I'd go during the day. The service is extremely nice though which is good, because I can't imagine working there at 2am and not being annoyed :P

This place is terrible. Bad food, bad service, bad overall experience, especially the broken toothpick in my sandwich. NEVER AGAIN

We enjoy easting here when we visit our daughter in Rohnert Park. The food quality is consistent and we have always found the service to be friendly and concerned. I like that it was not a Denny s knock off, had its own unique feel that will keep us coming back.

It is what it is....a diner/family restaurant. Great place to bring your kids because the food is inexpensive and the atmosphere is kid friendly. I haven't had a bad experience here and have come more and more frequently since my daughter started eating real food. If you're looking for high class cuisine or a fun and entertaining atmosphere, look elsewhere. You know what you're in for here and that suits me just fine...good food, decent price and no one tossing you evil glances if your toddler gets a bit loud. And free WiFi.

Well I love coming here.... I came here three times in a row. The employees are fantastic. That means you Jason. I always order the Cesar Grilled Chicken Salad without croutons. The reason behind that because my boyfriend and I are on a diet called Paleo. I can't wait to go again. I am craving the salad again. Also have a hot chocolate with the salad its to die for.

Wanted a quick breakfast before Sunday morning errands but all of our favorite places were packed. Stopped here knowing full well what to expect. We were not disappointed. Slow service, unruly screaming children and the "food"...don't even get me started.

Not good, not good at all. Here was my order: deli sandwich w/ just lettuce tomato onion and cucumber on rye, no meat, no cheese, no mayo, with a side house salad. Not really a hard order to screw up right? Basically veggie sandwich on rye w/ salad. Here is what i was served: a b.l.t on white bread with french fries, and a generous slathering of mayo...disgusting. when i sent it back it came out basically the same thing except they took off the bacon and scraped the mayo and replaced the fries. The lettuce tasted like it had been slapped with bacon and i found remenants of bacon/ bacon grease on it. The bread was plain old white bread...i ordered rye. And the plate was still hot a greasy from the fries, only now it had a sad looking little side of lettuce(from a bag, no doubt). I wasnt the only one dissatisfied though, my mom ordered a hot roast beef sandwich that she described as being microwaved lunchmeat on a bun. Plus it was wasnt hot but lukewarm. My brother ordered a burger and we couldnt leave the restaurant til he returned from the bathroom upon finishing about half of it. And to top it all of we all got pretty sick later that night. My advice, do NOT go here, even applebees is far superior and theyre pretty terrible. Needless to say we have not/will not be back.

This place has great breakfast, but wouldn't recommend it for dinner. Their service is okay. Not horrible, but the servers seem to be more interested in talking with each other in the back than the customers. Country fried steak was super crispy, and so was the seafood bounty. Mashed potatoes are really good and fruit was really fresh. Salmon was not so great. Maybe next time I'll try the pie.

My gf and I love to come in here all the time. I love the Shari's pie shakes always gotta try a new one. Food is good and service is grate. Even tho sometimes it takes long to get our food I think because sometimes their understaff, But Jenn who is our server most of the time manage to still give us excellent service. I recommend this place, pie shakes, and to ask for Jenn if you plan on having a grate time and service.

wow... I've just read all of the reviews for this place and can't believe that my and my partners experience was so good in comparison. Service was wonderful, food served timely and hot. It was breakfast on Saturday a.m. and I am a chicken fried steak aficianado. This was not only one of the best CFS I've ever had, I did not get a "omg, I've just eaten something so greasy I've got to go to the bathroom within 1/2 hour" moment. The food was very fresh tasting and NOT GREASY. Partners b-fast was standard bacon and eggs with h-browns. All were perfect. Sorry everybody else had bad experience. I need to go again to see if it was just an anomoly.

From reading the other reviews, it looks like this place has it's good days and bad days (the cooks maybe?). Anyway, I'm glad we were there on a good day! Last night my family decided to go to Shari's after a day of shopping. We were tired and hungry and wanted to try something other than fast food. This was our first visit to Shari's since Bakers Square had been there (we ate dinner at Baker's Square once and were not too impressed. It was their pies that we went there for). Back to Shari's...the restroom was surprisingly nice and the decor remained the same quaint cookery items that Baker's Square had, the seats at the tables looked newer though. I was little worried about our server because as we were seated by the hosted, she looked a little upset, but when she came to the table, she seemed to be fine. Our booth was clean and the drinks came right away (the refills came quickly as well). My daughter and I had the double bacon cheese burger and my husband had the chicken fried steak breakfast (he ate everything and had no complaints). The food came to the table sooner than expected and was hot and mostly as ordered. I asked for my burger off the bun and instead of just not including it, she boxed it up and brought it with my plate, I have never had that happen before, it was nice! I had also ordered the side salad, but got fries instead and when I reminded the server, she left my fries and brought the salad, no problem at all. This was the best burger I've had in a long long time! It blew Coco's right out of the water! The meat was hot and tender and no gristle at all. The cheddar was tasty and the bacon fully cooked. I didn't eat my fries (Atkins), but they looked fabulous and sounded crispy to the tooth as my husband enjoyed them! Everything was so good and satisfying, we even ordered a pie to go (they have Marion berry, which seems hard to find). After reading the back of the menu, I reminded my husband that Shari's is an Oregon original (he pleasantly recalled many happy meals from his past). We would definitely go again. Maybe Sunday is a good chef day? For three of us, we spent $50. A little more than I was expecting but there did not seem to be any portion cutting (like I've been noticing at Coco's) and we did order a whole pie, so it was fine.
